MY STORYHi, I’m Colbi!
I fell in love with gardening in the busiest time of my life. I was working a full-time job and finishing my dissertation and found myself in front of a computer 14+ hours a day everyday. In between emails and spreadsheets I dreamt of spending my time in the sunshine… but my yard was overgrown, itchy, and in no way a retreat.
The week after I graduated with my Ph.D. I dedicated my whole summer to staying outside, developing a beautiful habitat for pollinators, and crafting my own oasis just outside of my home.
Years later, my garden is still my favorite place to be. Maybe one of the things I love most is that it is not only special to me, it’s also a place where my family explores and my friends gather. I want to help other people find that peace and joy in their own gardens.
That is how this began.
MY WORKI have experience growing fruit trees, vegetables, cut flower gardens, native-only landscapes, and ornamental gardens. My specialty is mixing native plants and non-natives for an ornamental landscape that works for you and wildlife. I use organic gardening principles and focus on ecologically-friendly approaches to make the things in your garden safe for you, your pets and children, and the butterflies.
I live and work in Oklahoma City, but am happy to virtually help clients beyond the OKC metro.
